Official Events
Your way into the eternal trophy table
Official events in DR!FTCLUB create a binding format for the DR!FT competition across all performance classes. Clearly defined guidelines give selected events the status of "official" - regardless of location and organizer.
From "community event" to "official event"
Every Community Event can be declared an official event in DR!FTCLUB. To do this, a few conditions must be met by the organizer of the event:
- Download checklist ⬇️
- if all conditions are fulfilled: Email the link to the event to service@driftclub.com with the request for approval as an official event.
- if everything fits, the event will be confirmed and released as an official event by the DR!FTCLUB team
Why official events?
Official events introduce binding performance classes. Within each class, official trophies are awarded according to a fixed scheme, which are recorded in the official trophy table. This standardization finally makes fair, cross-event comparison a reality for DR!FT.
Trophies awarded in community events are not included in the trophy table, as they are not checked and not standardized - but community events offer more spontaneous, non-binding and individual design options.
Those who want to become part of the official DR!FT competition will find a structured, motivating system in the official events - open to all driver levels, from newcomer to experienced pro.
Performance classes and groups
With official events, three performance classes are introduced, which roughly describe the driving performance of a driver. This means that official events offer the opportunity for all performance levels to celebrate success in their performance class.
- Elite class
most powerful drivers
- Pro class**
good to very good drivers
- Sport class
beginners to occasional drivers
Which drivers drive in which performance class is determined individually at each event by a freely definable classification procedure. A classification procedure can, for example, be a qualifying session or the classification from one or more "free driving" sessions.
Once the classification procedure has been completed, the drivers are divided into groups. Each group is assigned to a performance class, whereby there may only be a maximum of one group in the Elite class and one in the Pro class in the entire event.
If an event has more than three groups due to a very high number of participants, all other groups below "Pro" are automatically assigned to the Sport class. A performance class smaller than "Sport" is therefore not planned.
The exact designation of a group is up to each organizer. Depending on the competition, designations such as Division 1 (=Elite class), Division 2 (=Pro class), Division 3 (=Sport class), Division 4 (=Sport class) etc. make more sense. For the sake of simplicity, we recommend naming the groups after the performance classes.
Depending on the field of drivers, the organizer may decide for himself which performance classes are offered. For example, there does not necessarily have to be an Elite class, but it is also possible to start with the Pro or Sport class.
Trophies
In DR!FTCLUB, various virtual trophies can be purchased for a nominal fee and awarded in events. For each performance class there are corresponding trophies in the DR!FTCLUB store, which are offered in at least gold, silver and bronze, in order to be able to award a corresponding trophy for the first three places in each performance class.
At official events, exactly one complete set of trophies** (gold/silver/bronze = 1st to 3rd place) must be awarded for **each performance class advertised. Trophies are awarded either on the basis of the overall standings over several sessions or - in the case of events with only one session (e.g. 24-hour races) - directly for this individual session.
A driver/team can only win a maximum of one trophy per event. This ensures that the number of trophies in the trophy table corresponds to the number of successful event participations.
Trophy table
The trophy table is based exclusively on trophies awarded at official events. It is divided accordingly into the three known performance classes: Elite Class, Pro Class and Sport Class. Within each performance class there are the classic awards in gold, silver and bronze - a total of nine columns.
The presentation is in order of value from left to right: the trophies of the Elite class are on the left, followed by the trophies of the Pro class and finally the trophies of the Sport class on the far right. The following applies: A trophy in the Elite class is always valued higher than any trophy in a lower performance class.
For example, a bronze trophy in the Elite class carries more weight than ten gold trophies in the Pro class.
The trophy table can be filtered by year and all-time. In addition, you can filter the trophy overview so that only one performance class is taken into account.
In contrast to official events, community events are not included in the trophy overview.
